Circuit Lab Arduino Simulator is a simple schematic and powerful modeling tool. This simulator was developed after PSpice, and it was built primarily for use by electricians and electronics engineers. Its functions allow the user to study the internal work of the Arduino, to implement debugging projects and design schemes.
Arduino Simulator 1.5.1 This Arduino Simulator is designed to simulate your (IO) projects with the aim of making everything. XR or the new iPad Pro. Introduction Welcome to my tutorial on how to connect Arduino to Microsoft Flight simulator. This is the easiest method I found. FSX SDK exists but lacks of documentation, is not useful as it requires huge amount of code. I wanted something easy and aft.
Arduino is a great platform to get people start learning programming and designing circuits. But inevitably beginners might do something wrong and damage components. Also for students budget is always a problem when it comes to buying new electronic parts, and you have no idea if it’s going to work until you spend money on it! Arduino Simulator provides a solution to these problems, no damage done to your components, no money spend on hardware, faster circuit prototyping and no mess with cabling at all! :-) Some Simulators even allow line to line debugging, so you know exactly which line goes wrong.
There are many available Arduino Simulators, exist in free or paid versions, based on Linux, Windows, Mac OS. I will list them here and provide information on the price and supported OS. If you have come across any good ones I missed here please comment and let me know.
Although it’s useful to have an Arduino Simulator, it’s important that you fully test your circuit on the physical hardware as well. Because there are situations where the physical world cannot be fully, perfectly simulated by the software.
I have to say, a lot of these Arduino Simulator authors need to be more creative with the names! most of them are called “Arduino Simulator”! and I have to differentiate them by the platform! (only joking :-) , it’s great that you guys created these awesome apps for everyone! – only if it’s free and open source)
1. Open Source Arduino Simulator
Free? Yes
OS: Windows
Link: https://github.com/Paulware/ArduinoDebugger/
For tutorial videos, someone is kind enough to post them all in one page.
2. Arduino Simulator on iPhone / iPad
Free? No
OS: iOS
Link: http://schogini.in/app-websites/arduino-simulator/
I have not tested it but from the videos, it looks quite rich in terms of components and well documented. But you obviously can’t use this tool if you don’t have an iPhone. However they only scored 2 in the app store review, so read reviews before you spend money.
3. ArduinoSim
Free? Yes!
OS: Windows, Linux
Link: http://arduinosim.sourceforge.net/
4. Simduino
Free? Yes!
OS: Windows
Link: http://code.google.com/p/simuino/downloads/list
5. Arduino Simulator on PC
Free? No
OS: Windows, Linux
Link: http://www.virtronics.com.au/Simulator-for-Arduino.html
There is a hardware options menu that lets you select the type of Arduino you want to use – Due, Leonardo, Mega or Nano. You can also use an LCD display. However you cannot add custom hardware and shield. So you are pretty limited in terms of choice of components.
6. Emulare
Free? Yes!
OS: Windows and Linux
Link: http://emulare.sourceforge.net/download.php
This seems to have the longest development period of all the simulators I have seen (since early 2010). A good feature of it is allowing users to simulate multiple Arduino’s at the same time.
[mrburnette] on this thread made a very good point about paid arduino simulator.
At this point, I do not personally think that most Arduino users will benefit from non-free tools. And professional developers are likely using professional tools for AVR and programming outside the confines if Wiring. There is a tremendous benefit for the new programmer-maker to THINK their way through issues without throwing money and new toolsets toward the problem.

I have installed everything correctly, but the instruments aren't responding.
If you're experiencing problems with connecting to your simulator software then please read this page carefully.
I am sure that everything is installed and set correctly, but Air Manager still doens't work with Microsoft FSX
We noticed that some people haven't installed all the service packs. For Air Manager to work with FSX, you will need to have service pack 2 installed. You need to install service pack 1 before you install service pack 2. Service pack 1 can be downloaded here and service pack 2 can be downloaded here.
Can I use my instruments within the aircraft in the simulator?
No. Air Manager is a stand-alone application, instruments are not integrated into the simulator panel.
How many copies of Air Manager can I install?
The licenses are limited to one computer. This means that every device need's its own Air Manager or Air Player license.
FSX or Prepar3D pauses when I click on an instrument
This is caused by a setting in FSX or Prepar3D, check this video on how to prevent it from happening with FSX. In Prepar3D you can find this checkbox with all the other settings.
Is there or will there be a GPS?
No there isn't at the moment, and yes there will be in the future. Late 2020 / beginning 2021, we will start developing navigational features.
How can I reset / deactivate my license and transfer it to another computer?
Your license is connected to the hardware ID of your computer. You are entitled to 3 resets per license.
Does Air Manager work with / is compatible with my Saitek hardware?
Both Air Manager and the Saitek hardware are receiving from and sending their data to the sim, there is no direct link between Air Manager and the Saitek hardware. E.g. changing a frequency in Air Manager will show on the Saitek hardware, and visa versa.
I'm using Microsoft Windows 7 and my Knobster is not recognized
Older versions of Windows 7 are missing necessary USB drivers. You can download these here.
Touch inputs are registering on the wrong monitor in Windows
You will have to set the correct monitor as touch monitor.

Can I use my purchased premium panels with the Air Manager 4.0 beta?
No, the Air Manager 4.0 beta only generates licenses with the BETA credentials, your premium panel is linked to your personal account. So no premium panels until Air Manager 4.0 is released and the license is generated with your credentials.
iPad
Do I also get the desktop software when I buy the iPad app?
Nope sorry. The desktop and iPad software are separate software packages, they do share the same plugin.
Can I have multiple iPad's running Air Manager?
Yes you can, there's no limit. You can also run the desktop application (if you have it) together with the iPad(s).
Can I create my own instruments with or for the iPad app?
Nope. Apple is very protective when it comes to file system access. We have looked at several ways around this, but it just ain't possible.
My screen is black
You're looking at a blank panel in viewing mode. To open the menu drag a single finger from the left side of the iPad inwards. It is best to start on the far edge of the iPad screen.

Flight simulator Plugins
The plugin installer for Windows crashes when I run it.
Make sure you have at least .Net 4.5 installed. You can download it here.
I have everything setup up right for a remote connection, but I don't see the gauges move.
Firewalls sometimes do more harm than good. Try disabling the firewall temporarily and see if Air Manager works. If it does, add your sim as an exception to the firewall.
Are you going to make a plugin for Dovetail Games Flight Sim World?
The product got cancelled, so no.
Are you going to make a plugin for Aerofly FS 2?
It's already there, since version 3.4.
Is there a plugin for DCS World or will there be one in the future?
Who knows... But as long as DCS World does not have good plugin system, we can't support it. We know about the Lua plugin system that some fans have build, but this is not something we can support. We need official support from DCS.
Do you support PMDG aircraft?
We have support for the 737NG, but this support is limited. PMDG shares just a small amount of the simulator data, all our efforts to extend this amount of data have been unsuccessful, as PMDG refuses to cooperate. With this limited set of data it is not possible for us to create proper instruments.
Are you or are you going to support Microsoft FS2020?
Yes we are. Air Manager 4.0 has FS2020 support and can be tried for free as an open beta for Windows. It requires you to use the beta plugin. Note that FS2020 isn't complete and a lot of things aren't function (correct). We're waiting / hoping for Microsoft to fix these issues in the near future. FS2020 support for iPad and Android will follow after the desktop release.

Clone Arduino's have a different chip (CH340) to communicate with the PC or Mac. Please download & install drivers here.
Do you support multiplexers?
Arduino Simulator Online
We do not. Each instance of Air Manager and Air Player supports up to 16 of each type of supported Arduino board. What this means when adding those all up, is that you are able to have more than 2600 I/O pins. Adding another Air Manager or Air Player to the game, gives you again 2600+ I/O pins. Therefore multiplexer support is not required in our opinion.
Instruments
The EGT gauge for aircraft X is not displaying the correct value
EGT output values from the simulator depend on the add-on developer, flight simulator (FSX, Prepar3D, X-Plane) and even between flight simulator updates (especially X-Plane). Because this changes so much, we have added the option to the EGT gauges to set the maximum EGT. Lowering this value will bring the needle up, increasing this value will bring the needle down. You will have to manually tweak it for your application. Select the EGT instrument and you'll see the option to change the temperature.
Are you going to support FS2020 for your G1000 (etc) bezels?
We certainly hope so. But until this day, the events to control the G1000 in the simulator are still not working. On top of that there a lot of events missing, also for the G3000 for example. Unfortunately Asobo / Microsoft still hasn't made any effort to fix this issues, so we'll just have to wait.
